Mexico City Attempts World Record For Largest "Thriller" Dance
The previous record of 242 who performed the routine in May in Williamsburg, Virginia, in the US.

The blog you linked to, Charles, says the record was accomplished -- but that may be premature, as Guinness has to verify all such events in order to assign the record, and there's no mention in this blog of the Mexico City organizers even contacting Guinness beforehand.
